Created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, these masks are constructed of denim, leather, velvet, and other textiles, and embellished with applique, beading, embroidery, and paint. Each is unique, and was made for a specific recipient, incorporating materials, colors, symbols and other references to that person’s interests, spiritual practices, travels, and family and culture of origin.
